MUA Eyeshadow Palette: Dusk Til Dawn

Feels like its been absolutely ages since I wrote a proper post, don't know what happened, but once it got hot I just lost all motivation! Then last week I started a course from home which I am doing in my spare time, been buying things just not had the drive to write about them.

I bought they palette absolutely ages ago, it was one I was after for a long time as well and it was never in store.

So with the Dusk til Dawn you are able to use it for both day time and night time looks, the single thing that drew me to this palette is that teal, that one shade really stands out. Top row are the neutral day shades, and the bottom ones would create the night look.

Top layer, without flash and with flash, using the flash really shows how metallic they are. I really like the gold shades, very pigmented as with all MUA eyeshadows and lasts all day when using the MUA eye primer.

The bottom row, just how amazing is that teal, this row has actual pieces of glitter unlike the shimmer to the top, but you could create a bright or smokey eye, I also love the dark blue and purple.

MUA eyeshadow palettes retail at only £4. Great price, great quality I have 6 now. You can purchase them from Superdrug and the MUA store

Fashionista from MUA Custom PPQ Palette

I am in such a good mood right now, thought I would do another post.

As a hobby, spare time kinda thing, I fill out online surveys, and get paid for it, just got £30 amazon voucher plus £15 yesterday, so I have just gone and spent it all, so excited, I love getting post, even better when I didn't spend any money!

So back to the post, when MUA announced they were selling Fashionista products, I had to check it out, I didn't know the brand previously but I was intrigued by the custom palettes. You pick a palette of 4 or 6 and fill it with eyeshadows, blushers and bronzers of your choice.

I think I am too pale for bronzers but I wanted to try one so I picked one which hopefully wont stand out too much.

I chose the PPQ Limited Edition A/W12 palette because it looks like animal print, and I just love animal print. This might be a geeky thing too, but I absolutely love the look of 3 of my choices, they remind me of planets.

I got Blusher - New York, Bronzer - Rome, Eyeshadow - Icey, Eyeshadow - Trendsetter. I have been wearing the blusher and trendsetter eyeshadow since it arrived, I am not confident enough to do a full picture though, I hate taking my own photo! The blusher is just the right shade for me I think.

Swatches of them, in the order they are on the palette. It's not as good as seeing them on I know, the last eyeshadow looks more purple on, its a purple/grey with more than just a shimmer, little pieces of glitter, I tried to get a close up of it:

It highlights the pieces of glitter, as best as I could.

The custom palette at the moment is 4 shades for £7 or 6 shades for £10. They are a great size, the lid of the palette is also a mirror, a proper sized one too, when I have more money I will definitely invest in more, especially if they bring out any more limited edition packaging.

The palette on its own is £2! and each individual shade is £1.65, so you can replace them once they run out or fancy a change.

I am converted, and really pleased with this, I think I am definitely going to get more of the mosaic eyeshadow, I just love how they look.

Have you made a custom palette? Link me and I will check it out :D

MUA Eyeshadow Palette: Undress Me Too

Finally caved in and bought it!

In my mission to own every palette I thought I would buy this one. It seemed like it was very popular when it came out, due to it being very similar to another extremely more expensive brand, I can't personally comment because I would never spend that much on eyeshadow, when for an amazing £4 you could buy this one.

When Undress Me Too first came out, the shades didn't wow me into buying it. But now that I have been trying new things I really like them. Unlike all the other MUA palettes these ones have names. I love the gold ones, I haven't had a gold eyeshadow yet, can't wait to use them. Instead of the usual black colour, this palette is white, I like it, I don't think it looks cheap.

This is the top row with the barely visible 'naked' at the bottom. I like to take a photo with the flash on because it really highlights how shimmery they are. I haven't used a primer on my arm but when I wear them I use MUA eye primer and it really makes them stand out and last all day. My favourites on this row are 'devotion' 'shy' and 'fiery'

The second row has quite a few darker shades. Starting with 'tranquil' at the bottom. Just one shade that really stands out for me and that is 'wink' its a nice copper.

All palettes are available for £4 each from superdrug and online at the MUA Store, the 3 for 2 is still on!

I am scheduling another 2 MUA posts over Sunday and Monday, coming up are 2 nail polishes in Koala Bear and Mud Pie.

MUA Eyeshadow Palette: Glamour Nights

Someone stop me buying MUA, seriously! I have FIVE eyeshadow palettes now!

Today I am showing you the Glamour Nights palette, been looking at this one for a while, and finally decided to get it, its a great mix of dark smokey colours, and a few brighter ones, which were what drew me to it in the first place.

It was the purple that really drew me in. Swatches are from top row, starting with the white at the bottom, although you can't really see it!

I ended up putting them on the wrong part of my arm and taking a picture was really awkward. First image is without flash, second with. It's a mix of matte and shimmery shades, as with all the palettes. There isn't one colour I don't like, I especially love the reddy/brown at the top.

This row is much brighter, as you can see, will be great mixing and seeing what I can come up with. I can see me using the pink at the top a lot, its a nice shade. I haven't been so daring as to use a red eye shadow before, but there is a first time for everything.

MUA eyeshadow palettes cost £4 each. For 12 shades thats amazing value, as you can see they are quite pigmented, and I wear them now with the MUA eye primer, they last all day.

My local superdrug has had a bit of a restock which is why I am buying them all now, I have the undress me too palette to write up and dusk til dawn, I am so excited for that been waiting ages!

You can purchase MUA products at superdrug and online at the MUA Store, both of which are having a 3 for 2 deal. Can't wait for that to go! At least for a few weeks.

Have you got this palette which is your favourite?

MUA Eyeshadow Palette Poptastic

A little bit later than I planned, got caught up in one of the best episodes of Emmerdale I have seen in a while. Love Cain. Anyway..

Went to superdrug today and the MUA stand looked like it had been restocked, this Poptastic palette was on my list of the ones I needed to buy, I love all the bright colours. Also bought 2 nail polishes but they will be up tomorrow.

This really stood out for me because I love bright colours. I belong in the 80s. I was only born in 1988, I missed all the good years! I can't wait to try it out. My favourite is that purple, 4th along, it has a blue shimmer to it! This palette is a mix of matt and shimmery shadows.

This is the top row, it doesn't look too bright, but it will stand out more when I use my MUA primer, and I think I used a bit of a rubbish brush, also good if you were worried it would be too bright, it doesn't have to be. The first picture is without flash and the second is with.

This is the second row. I love the pink and the blue at the very end, very excited to try this out, I will be going all out with the colour, why not! The first picture is without a flash, the second has a flash.

I think its a great mix of colours, I have never used yellow but I might give it a go if I can find a darker colour to line with.

All MUA palettes retail at £4. For 12 shades thats such good value. At the moment it is 3 for 2 in superdrug and on the MUA Store online.

Are you brave enough to go this bright?

MUA Eyeshadow Palette - Starry Night

Final post of the day! Sorry for the MUA spam.
My favourite eyeshadow palette. When I bought this I was after Dusk til Dawn but it wasn't available and this has all my favourite eyeshadow colours: black, silver, pink and purple.

I had a quick look on the MUA store and it doesn't seem to be available anymore, but I have still seen it in the shops so maybe once its gone, its gone.

For me starry night is the perfect mix, the very first and the very last shades are my favourite, light purples. I wear with the MUA eye primer now and it just makes them stand out and last so much longer.

This is the top row starting from the bottom, left picture is no flash, right picture with flash. Each shade has a shimmer and I just love them, so much. The bottom lilac is the one I am wearing today, lined with the black at the top.

This is the bottom row. Left pic no flash, right pic with flash. The colour at the top of my arm is the other purple that is my favourite. Some of them may look pale, but on they eyes they look so good, especially when using a primer.

Eyeshadow palettes are £4 and really can you get better value?? £4 for 12 shades, amazing. Next I really really want the poptastic one and the pastel one. I haven't seen them in the shops though so I will have to keep looking, until I give in and order online.

Like I mentioned earlier this one isn't on the website, a shame! but I have still seen a few in my local superdrug.
